What a vault visit looks like when you own allocated metal: identity checks, bar lists, and the right to withdraw.

You should be able to see what you own

Allocated storage is not a black box. Clients with verified identity can request a vault visit in a free-trade zone facility: identity checks at the gate, an escorted inspection, and a bar list that matches the holding statement. You may not wander the racks alone. You should, however, be able to confirm that the metal exists, is segregated, and can be withdrawn.

A visit is also a useful governance exercise for family offices and companies. Trustees and directors can record that they have inspected the reserve, not merely read a PDF.

    What happens on the day

    1. Book the visit and name the people who will attend.
    2. Bring the identification already used for your account.
    3. Pass security screening and sign the visitor log.
    4. Review the bar list against serial numbers in the vault.
    5. If you wish, start a withdrawal or delivery instruction.
    • Access is by appointment, not walk-in
    • Only verified owners or authorised agents may attend
    • Photography rules are set by the vault operator
If you cannot inspect it, you do not fully control it. Allocation should include a documented right of access.

Allocated storage is what we wanted: serial-numbered bars in our name, with a clear right to inspect or take delivery.

The vault buyback path is the part most dealers skip. Being able to sell without shipping bars first is why we keep the reserve allocated.

We started with a single ounce, then added kilo bars once the first holding statement arrived. The process is slower than a bank app, and that is the point.
